Wilson Shirley is a vice president at the Goldman Sachs Global Institute. Previously, he was a program manager at Schmidt Futures, a venture facility founded by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, and a media fellow at the Hudson Institute’s China Center.
Wilson served as a speechwriter to U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in the State Department’s Office of Policy Planning. Prior, he was the speechwriter for U.S. Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) and worked at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). He is as an officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Raised in Kentucky, he graduated from Northwestern University and resides in New York City.
