Vance Serchuk is the Executive Director of the KKR Global Institute—KKR’s geopolitical analysis and strategy unit—and a Managing Director on KKR’s Americas Private Equity Industrials Team, where he is responsible for aerospace and defense investments. He is also a visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and an adjunct senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security in Washington, DC.
Before joining KKR, Vance served for six years as national security advisor to Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-CT). A former monthly columnist for The Washington Post, his writing has also appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Foreign Affairs, The Atlantic, and Politico.
He graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University, holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, and was a Fulbright Scholar in Russia.
